Today we're announcing the ROG Wallpaper Challenge 2017 and inviting you to create your own custom ROG wallpaper for a chance to win thousands of dollars' worth of gear. This competition is open to everyone and will run from October 20th through to December 6th. The total prize pool is worth $5,000 USD and includes an ROG Zephyrus gaming ultrabook, which packs a Core i7-7700HQ CPU and GTX 1080 graphics into a 17.9-mm chassis. Also up for grabs is the frameless ROG PG27VQ, a 165Hz monitor with a stunning 1800R curvature.

How to participate

1. Read the campaign rules and terms and conditions carefully
2. Create your wallpaper, which must include:
   1. ROG logo (with or without text version) => Download the ROG logo
   2. Resolution: minimum of 4K - 3840x2160 (we will request a 4K version for the top 20 submissions)
3. Submit your wallpaper in one of the following four ways before December 6^th 00:01 (UTC+8)
   1. Through the official Gleam campaign page or gallery by using the File Upload option
   2. By tagging @asusrog and using the #ROGraphy hashtag on Facebook
   3. By tagging @asusrog and using the #ROGraphy hashtag on Instagram
   4. By tagging @asus_rog and using the #ROGraphy hashtag on Twitter
4. Vote for your favorite wallpapers through the Gleam gallery page

Campaign Rules

• The ROG Wallpaper Challenge 2017 starts on October 20^th 00:01 (UTC+8) and ends on December 6^th 00:01 (UTC+8).
• We reserve the right to reject entries that do not meet the requirements.
• Entries must be your own work.
• Wallpapers must be submitted in 3840 x 2160 pixels resolution in order to be eligible to win (if submitted via social media, you must be able to submit a 3840 x 2160 upon request)
• There is no limit to the number of entries one person can submit.
• We cannot accept entries that use copyrighted materials from other companies or brands.
• ROG reserves the right to upload any of the entries to the ROG site downloads page when the competition is complete.
• Voters can vote only once for the same entry.
• The prizes are non-exchangeable for cash or other items of the same value.
• Each prize winner is only eligible for one prize.

Some inspiration to get you started

Don't think you need a complicated idea to be in with a chance of winning. Sometimes the best wallpapers are the most simply designed. Provided you meet the competition guidelines, your submission can be as complex or as straightforward as you see fit. We included some samples below, just to get your creative juices flowing.

How to win

The winners for this contest will be based on both public votes and a panel of ROG judges. The top 20 wallpapers with the most votes on the Gleam campaign page by December 6^th 00:01 (UTC+8) will be selected for a second round of ROG internal voting. The ROG team will rank the finalists from 1 to 20 based on the below criteria:

• 50% Originality
• 30% Artistic Quality
• 20% ROG Authenticity

Rankings from the public voting and the ROG team will then be combined, with each counting for 50% of a submission's final tally. In case of a tie, the ROG team will decide the winner based on the criteria above.

$5,000 USD worth of prizes

The top five entrants will win some of the most droolworthy ROG gear. An additional 10 x $50 Steam vouchers will be awarded to voters and participants via a lucky draw.
